Governor Cooper Left NC To Attend Climate Summit In NYC As Hurricane Helene Was Headed Toward Western NC

Breitbart has the details. The climate conference was sponsored by the New York Times. Cooper touted our state’s green energy policies and his support for Biden’s Green New Deal.

Of course, western North Carolina was decimated by Helene. The people there got little to no help from the state with disaster recovery and rescue in the immediate aftermath. It was left to organizations like Samaritan’s Purse and Baptists on Mission and individual churches and private pilots to come to the aid of these folks.

And remember– under the US Constitution, disaster response is a state responsibility. Don’t keep on blaming FEMA, Governor Cooper. It was YOUR responsibility.
