Roy Cooper’s Family History: Wife Abandonment And Slave-Owning Ancestors

We learn from the Blue Ridge Times two interesting aspects of former Governor Roy Cooper’s background.

First– and this has been previously reported– we learn that he chose a career in politics over his first marriage. He entered politics during the 1980’s as a young man over his first wife’s protestations; and that resulted in the failure of the marriage.

Second, it turns out that several of his ancestors had owned slaves according to the Blue Ridge Times. This, of course, is an unforgivable sin in the eyes of the democratic left, but he gets a pass because he is part of the team. Remain mindful that it seems likely he benefited from his family’s wealth, perhaps facilitated by the slaves they owned, especially given his considerable assets despite a career in politics.

With respect to these two issues, readers can be assured Cooper will be protected by the regional mainstream media. They will assure this information is not disseminated.

Remember– for the socialists, it is all about power. That is why they are suddenly turning on Graham Platner in the state of Maine. But Cooper is a candidate who can win and who follows the party line, so he is granted absolution.

  1. I again must say that Roy Cooper would not represent the popular will of the voters of North Carolina. NC is a GOP/Conservative state and he is the quintessential progressive/socialist leaning full blown Communist . That image of Cooper must be one of Whatley’s prominent campaign messages.

    1. Absolutely, Fred. And it must be emphasized that, despite his 8 years as governor, the voters in the state truly do not know him. They only know his folksy manner. It is up to Whatley and his people to make sure that the general public knows precisely who he is.
