Roy Cooper “Turned Tail” When George Floyd/ BLM Riots Broke Out

Some interesting reporting yesterday revealed that former Governor Roy Cooper evacuated the governor’s mansion in Raleigh and fled to a site outside the city of Raleigh when the George Floyd BLM riots were beginning six years ago. Check out the stories at the North State Journal and Red State.

The following day, he was seen infamously marching with rioters. He was ignoring his own mask and social distancing recommendations as he did this.

As the state’s chief executive, he could have remained in Raleigh and led an all-of-government effort to quell the riots. He could have called out the National Guard immediately and supervised their efforts to protect businesses and prevent destruction and mayhem.

Instead, he fled town, allowed the riots to run their course, and marched with the rioters.

This is who we had governing our state.
