This is a great video on the major difference between charter schools and traditional public schools. I think it is best for parents to use Christian schools or home school if possible. In fact, I would prefer that public education did not even exist. But charters can be a great option for those who can’t afford Christian schools or home school:

Republicans largely prefer charter schools because they promote educational competition, school choice, and increased parental control over curriculum, while operating with less regulation and outside of traditional teacher union influence. They see them as a way to privatize education and improve academic outcomes for students in struggling districts.
They also argue that public funding should follow the child, enabling families to choose schools that best suit their needs rather than being confined to a neighborhood public school.
The lady in the video was spot on when she made the point that her taxes should go to the charter schools.
Great points, Fred. If I had kids today and could not do Christian schools or home schooling, I would definitely seek out a good charter school.
