When I prescribed ivermectin during the Covid pandemic, traditional pharmacies would not fill it. There was no effort to get the manufacturer to ramp up supply because the federal government did not want ivermectin used. The pharmacies usually claimed to not have any in stock. Occasionally, pharmacists would call refusing to fill the prescription because they did not believe ivermectin was effective. They regarded themselves as the experts with veto power over doctors’ prescriptions.
Patients would have to get ivermectin prescriptions filled at special compounding pharmacies. Because there are not many of these, it was often very inconvenient for patients. It was also more expensive because insurance would not cover it. All of the stars were aligned in a certain direction.
All these things happened right here in North Carolina.

Fred, I honestly don’t know the status of that case at this point.
The Deep State successfully chilled the environment for prescribing this drug when it was most needed. By the time these cases get considered, the damage was already done.
