What follows is a good discussion of what we might expect with Pope Leo XIV– and how he might differ from Pope Francis– through the lens of a conservative Catholic who understands the decline of the Catholic church. Start at the 1:00 mark:

John Zmirak is right on point about pope Leo and Pope Francis…separated at birth.
Serious Protestants have natural, longstanding concerns about the Catholic church– as you know Fred. But this goes beyond the usual, historic concerns regarding theology and religious practices. This is about adopting a stance that accommodates or embraces cultural liberalism and globalism– not unlike the similar actions taken years ago by the liberal mainline churches and more recently by the Southern Baptist Convention and other evangelical churches.
And of course, it is also about money.
This was quite chilling to hear the details of who these key players are within the Catholic Church but even more concerning is how much their leanings align with the end times prophesies found in the Revelation. I fear this new pope is indeed a false prophet leading the masses to destruction.
Hi, Jan– You definitely have the progressive/globalist element within the hierarchy of the Catholic Church; and it would require a major turnaround for them to be able to choose a pope who is reasonably orthodox from a biblical standpoint. I think it’s inevitable he is a false prophet– it is just a matter of degree. You are right– all the signs about us point toward the end times. It all depends on God’s disposition toward when He chooses the “pull the trigger”.
