I was able to watch brief snippets of Trump’s commencement speech last night at the University of Alabama.
It was fairly extraordinary for several reasons.
First, there was hardly a college or university that would have been willing to invite him over a LONG period of time.
Second, Nick Saban– the prominent, highly successful former football coach there– was willing to introduce him before a large crowd of people. Again, this would have hardly ever happened for a LONG period of time.
Third, he received a rousing welcome; and the young people were very happy to have him there, with huge smiles on their faces as he spoke.
Part of this must be attributed to the people of the state of Alabama. They are a special group of folks with a very Christian culture.
Great ! Roll Tide.
Fred, I hope Alabama doesn’t get ruined, like nearly everything else…
