I am hearing through the grapevine that a Republican NC House member was getting ready to file a bill to abolish elective abortion in the state of North Carolina.
But the word is that he “received pushback” and felt he had to withdraw the bill.
I do not necessarily fault this particular House member. He was trying to do the right thing; and was apparently ready to do so.
Instead, my concern is with the people who did the “pushing back”.
Well TC, it is clearly the Speaker and the Senate President pro tempore .
Given the fact it occurred in the House, Fred, I am blaming the House Speaker and his goons more.
Bergers mafia I am sure put a halt to this!! He told me to my face that abortion abolition would never pass in NC. He wants that money! Until we rid ourselves of this “cancer” in the pro-tem office, we can’t go forward.
Bronni, I have little doubt that the GOP leadership did not want this even introduced– because they did not want people to know they would not allow it to be voted upon.
