WOW… WAS HE EVER PRESCIENT !
THINK OF THE PRESS AS DEMOCRATIC OPERATIVES WITH BYLINES AND YOU WON’T GO FAR WRONG.
MODERN JOURNALISM IS ALL ABOUT WHICH FACTS THE PUBLIC SHOULDN’T KNOW BECAUSE THEY NIGHT REFLECT BADLY ON DEMOCRATS.
Everything you said– and everything Icke said– is true, Fred. I think an old classic referred to “Enemies of the People”.
Prescient indeed. Back in 1994, I was reasonably hopeful.
I call them the regime media; in line with what he said, they represent the regime. (At least the US still has the fringe media like Triad conservative.)
As a student of history, I can say that journalists have never generally been very good. If you tried to do historical research from their writings, you’d get everything wrong. You’d think that Jefferson tried to pimp out Dolly Madison and her sister from the White House (newspaper of 1804) for instance.
I agree, Healey. We have learned a lot over the last decade or so. It is a major problem when people feel they can’t believe what they say– and huge percentages of folks have now arrived at that point.
