SBC Leadership/Academics Downplay Dems’ Pro-Abortion Position and Boost Environmentalism

A couple of recent items at Disntr describe stands taken recently by Southern Baptist leaders and/or academics.

Tom Ascol took to task both the president of the convention and the leader of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission. These men had made it seem that Biden and the socialists are softening their emphasis on legal abortion. I wonder why these two leaders would do that.

At Southeastern Seminary, a noted academic on staff invited another outside academic to speak in support of radical environmentalism, which was floated as a “gospel issue”. This, of course, is beyond absurd.

These are yet more examples why the Conservative Baptist Network is trying to turn things around. But that will depend on conservative messengers attending the meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention in New Orleans during June and voting accordingly.

    1. Thanks, Fred. We shall see. I think the conservatives are still the underdogs, even though this seems unusual in what used to be a conservative denomination. Remember, the progressives have their long march through the institutions, and that within the last decade has included the SBC.
