North Carolina, Virginia Not Changing Kids’ Vaccine Requirements

In spite of President Trump’s recent executive order, public health bureaucrats in the state Department of Health and Human Services have stated that North Carolina’s vaccine requirements for school attendance will not change. Of course, Governor Josh Stein is responsible for this department.

The health department in the state of Virginia has made a similar statement.

Strictly speaking, in North Carolina, a commission within DHHS makes this determination. However, commissions of this type are usually directed by staff. It is supposed to be otherwise, but in reality staff bureaucrats have considerable influence. Of course, once again, the governor has ultimate control over what happens in the department.

It will therefore be up to the Republicans in the General Assembly to change things. And we learned during Covid that they might be just as beholden to Big Pharma as their counterparts at the federal level– and just as beholden as the socialists are.

  1. No one advances in the power structure of the medical-industrial complex without BigPharma’s imprimatur. No one advances who doesn’t genuflect and say “Vaccines Amen!”

    1. That seems to be true, J. Sobran. The specialty societies within medicine are definitely corrupted. And the appointees at agencies inevitably are nominated and confirmed by people who have taken lots of Big Pharma money. Nearly all of the politicians have, certainly.
