Property Tax Bills Included A Hefty Increase

Guilford County residents received their property tax bills within the last week. Scott Yost has the story at the Rhino Times website.

It should be noted that these bills do not reflect the new property revaluations. That means the bills could go much higher next year unless voters pass a constitutional amendment this year.

The bills do reflect the 19% tax increase passed by the Greensboro City Council and the 6% tax increase passed by the Guilford Board of County Commissioners during June. That means the bills we received were a major increase over last year’s bills.

I hope local residents are beginning to figure things out. When you elect free spending socialists to local office, taxes go way up.
