This race is already over, and it was when Whatley was “crowned.” It was gonna be an uphill battle to begin with, it’s just a matter of how bad Mike loses at this point. These “attacks” on Cooper reek of “last ditch” efforts and won’t persuade many. The bigger question is, why isn’t the Right touting Whatley’s record? He’s been a political operative his entire adult life.
Unfortunately, you’re probably right, Allison. It’s going to require a bit of a miracle for Whatley to win. What a mess.
If it’s any consolation, I think Cooper would have beaten Tillis also.
But Cooper is a bad guy, and he deserves to lose.
YUP !!
It’s still possible for Whatley to win, Fred. Once again, I think an intelligent, well-circulated negative campaign against Cooper is critical. But Whatley needs to give people something to vote for also.
