One of Cooper’s campaign approaches is to discuss inflation and affordability as if these issues arose in a vacuum.
He is also demagoguing health insurance companies.
But there are a couple of things he fails to disclose.
First, he does not discuss the fact that it was the democratic socialists’ insane increases in spending during the Biden years and their refusal to unpack to Covid restrictions that caused massive inflation. Similarly, he does not discuss the fact that it was his party that passed Obamacare that caused such a massive increase in health insurance premiums, contrary to what was being advertised when it was being passed.
Has he repudiated their spending and their passage of Obamacare? Of course not.
But as the Town Hall article linked above points out, he has taken plenty of campaign money from health insurance companies. This industry likes it when taxpayers fund health insurance, as his party has advocated.
It would be difficult to make the case that the Republicans’ performance on these issues has been much better. But Cooper is a brazen hypocrite; and effectively is lying.
Roy Cooper is an evil DSA politician. He is a chameleon. His a boldface liar. The voters need to hold him accountable.
I have probably have missed many more of Cooper’s malevolent shenanigans.
