NC Political Tea reports about a bill filed in the General Assembly that would implement E-Verify in the state of North Carolina. This would make it more of a state priority to remove illegal aliens from the workplace.
The author, Sloan Rachmuth, points out that this will be a test of the Republican leadership in Raleigh as to whether they will do the right thing, or whether they protect and serve the big donors to political campaigns.
The state Labor Commissioner– Luke Farley– supports the bill. Farley is a Republican.
I WAS IMPRESSED WITH FARLEY. i HOPE THE LEGISLATURE WILL PASS THIS E-VERIFY BILL.
A legal workforce protects more than jobs.
It also helps protect people from being exploited behind the scenes.
That’s a great point, Fred. We shall see…
