The phenomenon of the race huckster is widespread. We have had them here locally, but during recent years they have been more quiet because they control both the Board of County Commissioners and the Greensboro City Council. They also have major influence over the local criminal justice system.
In North Carolina, we have had the Rev. William Barber and others.
