The news is that the city is seeking a city charter revision from the NC General Assembly that would enable it to sell city land below market value to private entities.
The only interested buyers would be developers hoping to do something with the property.
Here is an obvious question. Given the fact that the city of Greensboro’s leadership has proved itself to be untrustworthy on a wide variety of matters, why would the Republican General Assembly give them more flexibility to be untrustworthy?
Just say no. The General Assembly needs to take into account the city leadership’s overall corrupt stewardship of their public responsibilities during recent years when making this decision.
