Family of Iryna Zarutska Planning Lawsuit In Connection With Charlotte Light Rail Murder

Of course, this was the blonde young woman from Ukraine who was brutally killed on Charlotte’s light rail.

Now, her family is planning a lawsuit. The article does not give details. Who will be the target? Perhaps the city of Charlotte. Perhaps the court and/or prison officials who allowed him to roam the streets.

I am not a big fan of lawsuits. This situation, however, justifies one. There was real negligence that resulted in this particular homicide.

Think about all the frivolous suits the city of Greensboro has settled over the years in connection with police incidents. By contrast, the Charlotte light rail case involved the murder of an innocent person.
