A report from the Wilmington Standard reveals that Eastern Carolina University is being investigated by the federal government, likely because of racial quotas and/or DEI policies.
Even though Eastern Carolina University is not named “UNC”, it is still part of the UNC system. Readers might recall that UNC was one of the guilty parties when the Supreme Court ruled against affirmative action a few years ago. Accordingly, it is not unthinkable that ECU might have been violating the law because discrimination against whites and Asians was institutionalized within the UNC system.
It is encouraging that the handling of these matters is now much more just than we had seen during recent decades. That will change, however, once a socialist again regains the White House.
