Our esteemed governor made a deliberate decision to refrain from participating in President Trump’s big state fair– obviously for partisan reasons. When private concerns stepped in his place to create a pavilion or booth at the fair to represent the state of North Carolina, it was found that a Confederate flag was being displayed via video.
So Stein, having relinquished his opportunity to control what would be displayed, immediately renounced it.
This, of course, is a manifestation of his contemporary Jewish worldview. But in the process of renouncing the flag, he dishonored the millions of North Carolina citizens who have family roots in North Carolina during the Confederate period.
In addition to dishonoring them, he refused to exhibit even some semblance of balance regarding the history of that time. In fact, the South’s position was more justifiable than that of the North during that period; and the South has had many points in its favor. To suggest that flag had to be immediately renounced ignores the real record; and in fact seeks to shut down even the possibility of discussion.
