You were not a good Christian if you did not lock down, and close your churches and businesses, and socially distance. If you did not mask. If you did not take the vaccine.
These were messages delivered by Christian leaders– both evangelical and Catholic. Of course, it also infected liberal mainline Protestantism, probably to an even greater degree.

Since the institution of the income tax and the concomitant tax exemption of churches, churches have largely been puppy dogs for govt/officialdom. Do I exaggerate? Where is the church that has questioned the US war-machine’s wars in the Middle East that have resulted in at least a million dead civilians in the last 30 years? Where is the church complaining about the (US-taxpayer-funded) Israeli genocide in Gaza and Lebanon, where many of the murdered are fellow Christians?
Of course they aren’t as bad as the Mockingbird media, which cannot be bothered to examine one of the most massive crimes of all time exposed by Tulsi Gabbard re the Fauci virus…but they are all over that important story about the algae in the reflecting pool.
It is pretty ridiculous that the legacy media is focusing so much on the pool at the expense of more important stories, J. Sobran. You are right about that!
Unfortunately, significant swathes of evangelicalism will tend to support the war in Iran because of the plague of dispensational theology that descended upon the church. Among the other non-evangelical churches, there might be some on the far left who are resisting but otherwise, as you suggest, many are remaining quiet.

She revealed the 120 biolabs operating in 30 countries that are potential sources of pathogenic creation and spread. That’s right, J. Sobran. It is astonishing to see; but we learned during the pandemic that they view the federal government’s permanent Deep State– aligned with the socialists– as their master.
