Georgia Challenges

Georgia is a red southern state. However, it has had inordinate difficulty electing Republicans in federal statewide elections because of bad leadership at the state level on issues of voter integrity.

This week, there were reports that Brad Raffensperger set up an underground bunker to count ballots; and that nobody would be permitted to observe the process. Fortunately, the courts stepped in. (Also, thank goodness that Raffensperger lost his primary to run for the gubernatorial election.)

These issues in Georgia are compounded by Fani Willis’ lack of accountability for the outrageous actions she has taken there:

  1. I was born and raised in Atlanta. Those were the good old days of Eugene and Herman Talmadge.

Today’s Georgia is nowhere close to what it was during my youth.

Governor Kemp has been openly hostile to President Trump. Secretary of State Raffensperger has been as bad.

It was good to see Fani Willis’ ridiculous prosecution of Trump go down in flames.

What is going on in Georgia doesn’t pass the smell test. Something is rotten in my dear home state.

    1. I agree, Fred.

Part of the problem is that many internationals have settled around Atlanta. But that is not the entire problem by any means.

The Republicans have leaders in critical positions in Georgia who are compromised.
