NC’s “Drama Queen” Senator

Over the last couple of weeks, Senator Thom Tillis has:

  1. Made a fuss over ICE in Minneapolis and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem; and
  2. Made a fuss over Trump’s approach to Greenland, even to the extent of flying to Europe and conducting his own foreign policy.

What a mess. His term can’t expire too soon.

Update: Don Brown speaks out.

  1. Out of the pot and into the fire. Tillis sucks, but Cooper will make him smell relatively good. Tillis-promoter Whatley is likely another Uniparty cipher and doesn’t have a chance. And I almost don’t care, in the sense that I’d almost rather have an evil Democrat than be knifed in the back again by someone like Tillis. The good candidate, Don Brown, can’t even get on Steve Bannon’s show. I’m disheartened by NC Republicans.

    1. I feel the same way. You are justified to feel as you do, J. Sobran.

      And this year, we have multiple “conservatives” jumping in the race to divide the anti-Whatley vote. Happens just about every time.

    2. For me, Thom Tillis has become the definition of a “Cut Dog” who has been shunned from his family and now wonders around looking for a home with his previous foes.

      Completely devoid of any ideology other than the proverbial “ME! ME! ME! Tillis and Marjorie Taylor Green make a perfect pair of cut dogs, and watching them buddy-up for photo-opts with the most virulently mad Democrats proves one thing completely;
      Donald Trump was right about both of them, right out of the chute.

        1. Thank you. Tillis is as big of a mystery as he is a disappointment for me. I can’t understand how anyone doesn’t realize what will happen if the folks who are inciting the current unrest get control of our lives again.
          But especially someone who SHOULD know about that from a front row seat.

          If I had the opportunity, I would ask Mr. Tillis, “What do you hope to achieve with your efforts to retard the Trump administration’s endeavors, and to destroy their credibility?”

          Past tense now, but that’s HIS party’s endeavors and HIS party’s credibility, not to put too fine of a point on the matter 🙂

          1. I think, Steve, that a certain proportion of those in the GOP establishment wing are closeted progressives. Tillis is among them. Over at the Daily Haymaker, the story is told of how Charlotte business interests advanced his career. He started out by challenging a much more conservative GOP state legislator in a primary, by my recollection, and he had the money men behind him.

            He was never a real conservative. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to elect conservatives to statewide office in NC for various reasons.
