Voting To Keep The “Kill Switch” In New Cars

Three NC Republicans had the opportunity to stop the notorious “kill switch” that would enable the government to shut down the operation of our personal vehicles. But these worthless congressmen voted in favor of keeping it:

Tim Moore (the former GOP NC House Speaker)

Greg Murphy

Chuck Edwards

57 Republicans voted to keep the kill switch.

The premise that Republicans fight to reduce regulation and to uphold the Constitution is a farce. The premise that they are fighting for us is a farce.

More than one-quarter of the House GOP caucus voted against this amendment.

  1. Uniparty House removed the explicit outlawing of CBDC [central bank digital currency] from a bill just before it passed a couple of months ago. My Rep. Addison McDowell refuses to answer 3 efforts I’ve made to find out the justification. There is no moral justification for not outlawing something that is such an evil tool of totalitarianism.

    1. The House majority is a fiction, J. Sobran. I think it was Mike Benz yesterday who said that, when you have so many Republicans voting with the Democrats, you have a functional Democratic majority.

      1. Some of us Republicans favor the “kill switch” to high speed police chases that invariably result of harm amd death to innocent bystanders.

Sorry if that offends, but your mindless ideology offends some ….

        1. Steve, I’m sorry if you are offended. But I cannot imagine how we managed to survive as a society with automobiles for greater than a century without having kill switches. We suddenly have this imperative, imposed by socialists but agreed to by a certain number of Republicans.

  2. The only solution is a the ballot box. That’s the way the system is to supposed to work. Correct ?

      1. So, the Triadconservative thinks high speed police chases that harm innocent bystanders, and/or allowing criminals to escape out of concern for that possibilty is a better alternative than a simple kill switch to stop them?

Where is the slippery slope for common sense?

        Thank you

        1. The kill switch is not designed to prevent high speed police chases, as far as I know. They are supposed to be intended to disable vehicles when the driver is drunk. But the kill switch will ultimately be used to limit freedom– guaranteed. It is just a matter of time.
