  1. I wonder if Joe Biden has nightmares about what damage his open border policy did to America. I hope so. He and Jim Comey should be cell mates.

    1. That would be poetic justice, Fred.

The enemies being let into the country date back to the 1965 immigration act. There have been various twists and turns since then. Biden definitely was a big part of the problem.

  2. Good article, J. Sobran, and yes, Mead does a great job.

I think the problem is three-fold:

First, the numbers accepted over the last 75 years have been much too great.

Second, where these folks come from has been a problem. We should have continued to preferentially accept immigrants from the Western world.

And third, as Mead says, for those that are here, we need to insist on assimilation.

We now have a red-hot emergency. I think Trump ought to declare a moratorium on immigration, but obviously, he won’t.

  3. I agree with you, Triad. If you don’t have a Western civilization immigrant source, at least attempt to make a determination that they are favorable to individualism (Islam and communism being collectivist) in some manner.

    1. Of course, J. Sobran, the Democrats and the establishment Republicans have not been the least bit concerned about these folks being favorable to individualism (as opposed to collectivism). Indeed, the Democrats WANT collectivism, so naturally they would be disposed to immigrants who share their political worldview, even though it is in direct opposition to the Constitution.
