Voddie Baucham was a conservative Southern Baptist pastor and educator who died a few days ago at a relatively young age. He had a history of heart disease. He was a reasonably well known author and speaker.
He had run to become leader of the Pastor’s Conference within the Southern Baptist Convention within the last few years; and was opposed by JD Greear’s crowd.
He spoke with unusual clarity regarding various cultural matters including the LGBT juggernaut, critical race theory and neo-Marxism. The below video interview illustrates why his contributions were so helpful:
I first heard of Mr. Baucham recently when I saw his obituary. It is clear that he carried the righteous message of true God while displaying extraordinary character, philanthropy and positive contributions to the Baptist Community.
If JD Greear opposed him, that was a sure sign of the rightness of Voddie’s positions on a number of important issues for Christianity.
He had the distinction, Fred, of being way out in front of critiquing the various cultural assaults we have faced. He often recognized these and spoke out before others did.
