I am not overly impressed with Lynch. Oh, he hits all the talking points alright. However, he has some rough edges and I wish him good luck .
My first reaction was to suggest Henry McMaster primary Graham. During the 2016 presidential campaign, McMaster was an early and avid supporter of Donald Trump. He is pro life, having signed the Heartbeat bill into law, prohibiting abortion after a heartbeat is detected (usually six weeks into pregnancy). He ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. Senate in 1986. In 2022 he won reelection in the Governor’s race garnering 58% of the vote But when I searched I found out that last month McMaster endorsed Graham. Maybe McMaster who is 77 yoa figured that being a senator wasn’t worth the grind.
Yes, Fred, McMaster was active in politics way back when I lived in South Carolina from 1986-1991.
To be elected governor, you almost HAD to be part of the GOP establishment.
Lynch might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I suspect he would be an improvement over Graham. Can he win the nomination? I don’t know.
