He served as President of the SBC for three years, and made many appointments, Fred. The problem is that those who followed him largely have followed in his path because conservative churches did not show up in force at the annual meeting to vote.
If new conservative presidents are elected, they can make their own appointments and transform those boards and committees and entities. But it is not clear that will necessarily happen based on what we have observed during recent years.
