Thanks for posting that, Fred! I don’t think I had ever heard the entire song, and all the lyrics.
And your point is spot-on that “the old time religion” is the furthest thing from the minds of those pastors and denominational leaders discussed in this video. They would try to maintain that the difference they offer is primarily one of methodology– but I would argue it is more than that. It is compromise on what the church should teach its people– i.e., compromise on discipleship. The errors are of omission AND commission.
