A case that specifically addresses same-sex marriage could come before the Supreme Court and affect the Obergefell decision, but it’s not known when that might happen. Recall that it took decades to get right Roe v. Wade. A pathway to reversing Obergefell could be if a state passes a law prohibiting same sex. Alioto and Thomas are making noises about doing it.
Yes, Fred, it took 50 years to overturn Roe v. Wade. And you probably recall that there was an attempt in the early 1990’s that failed.
This is a ruling that needs to be overturned. I am not sure this Supreme Court will have the courage to do so.
