This is an example of a preacher using the pulpit to explain current issues to the congregation in accordance with a biblical worldview. Ideally, it would be best to do this long before a crisis arises. But his comments are fairly remarkable, and come to us from Calvary Chapel:

I agree, Fred. This is a marked deviation from what we usually see. Arguably, if pastors instructed their respective flocks more often regarding how the Christian worldview should guide their interpretation of what politicians and government should be doing, then these crisis situations would not occur so frequently; and we would be nudging things in the right direction. That is, in fact, the spirit of the Black Robed Regiment that existed around the time of the American revolution.
