Stephen Horn reports that two of the biggest sponsors of H-1B visa holders in the state of North Carolina– Infosys and Cognizant– have engaged in some highly questionable activities. Indeed, they have gotten called out by regulatory agencies and in the courts. In addition, he asserts, they have discriminated against American citizens.
Consider the fact that there is a maximum cap of 85,000 H-1B visa jobs per year, that works to be a little more than a quarter million jobs over the course of four years. In that same time, 10 million illegal immigrants have illegally crossed into the country under the reign of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. So we’re missing the forest for the trees here. While Republicans are infighting over this program that is broadly popular, that creates a massive amount of wealth, that creates American jobs, we’re ignoring the 30 times more immigrants that came to this country illegally, and that must remain the focus.
Unfortunately, these jobs tend to be some of the best jobs available to US graduates, and they are being taken by foreigners. These foreigners are climbing the ladder within these companies and have become the bosses of American employees. We now have a huge number of CEO’s of big American companies who are from India– including but not limited to Google and Microsoft.
