One of the risks of the new Trump Administration is that it will inevitably include an “Israel First” contingent. I hope Trump maintains peace. Greg Reece illustrates the risks and also reports that Jared Kushner is playing a big role in the Trump transition. I had not seen this reported elsewhere. This is a problem because Kushner was one of the big forces during the first term that made Trump less successful from the standpoint of delivering for his base:
I have always been skeptical of allowing foreign funding of US politics.
With good reason, John. We need to go back to Washington’s approach– avoiding “entangling alliances”.
I’m sympathetic to the thrust of this. DC is Israeli-occupied territory. Kushner was one of Trump’s worst advisors. But this piece is more insinuation than direct evidence. I’ve seen little mention of Kushner in 2024.
Same here, Healey. But you heard what Lutnick said in the video. We need to know more about what his role has been during the transition.
