The Election Of Our Lifetime

We have not seen anything like it in our lifetime, and likely will not again. God is good. The country dodged a bullet last night.

Trump’s victory is a massive repudiation of the socialists and the concerted effort they have made to take down our country. It is also a repudiation of the corrupt media.

In many respects, this is a victory of the new media– i.e. online news and commentary sites; social media; podcasting, which has become huge; and streaming video channels– over the old mainstream media.

But one aspect that will be discussed to a lesser extent is the fact that it reflects a repudiation of Obama for various reasons. After all, Obama was the puppet master behind the Biden Administration given the fact that it was many of his people who ran the executive branch in lieu of the incapacitated Biden. And in addition, he was one of the main forces behind selecting Kamala Harris as Biden’s vice-presidential nominee. It was an identity politics choice that backfired on the socialists because she was a uniquely awful presidential candidate.

In fact, it is a sad commentary on her nation that she secured so many votes, and won so many states, given how bad she truly is.

The Senate will be under Republican control; but it is unclear precisely how many seats they will have. This will be illusory because they will not have a filibuster-proof majority, and the Senate GOP Caucus continues to have large numbers of establishment Republicans. Mitch McConnell is maneuvering to have an establishment figure replace him; and Trump ought to oppose that strenuously. Bernie Moreno from Ohio should turn out to be a great addition.

The US House remains in contention, and numerous races have not yet been called. Look to the socialists using Marc Elias and the courts to pull away some of those seats (and perhaps US Senate seats also). Again, even if the Republicans win a majority in the House, it will be narrow and tenuous especially given the large numbers of establishment Republicans.

The dark forces still might try to kill Trump. But if they do, they will get JD Vance in his stead.

Elon Musk has turned out to be a major hero on the American scene. He was formerly of libertarian inclinations, but he has learned the cost of Marxist revolution given what has happened to his native country of South Africa; and given his own son’s gender transition, which had a major impact on Elon.

Musk’s teaming up with Ron Paul to cut the federal budget and the size of the federal government is a worthy endeavor. As I have noted previously, Trump will be facing a rapidly deteriorating debt crisis; and our country will be facing difficult times. He will not be able to deliver on many of the grandiose promises he has made. But a dismantling of the administrative state and a marked reduction in the federal government is in order.

Musk will find Republicans in Congress to be his primary obstacles.

There will be policy objectives for Trump. But accountability ought to be also a priority.

Consider the use of the Covid juggernaut against us; the lawfare against Trump and his supporters; the fraudulent undermining of his first term; the rampant election fraud four years ago; the conspiracy to deprive Americans of their civil rights including free speech and religious liberty; the Marxist Cultural Revolution/ Color Revolution imposed on the American scene; and the socialist billionaire megadonors funding all the above activities. There is much to address. Jack Posobiec has called for reciprocity against the various offenders, and he is precisely correct. How that might happen needs to be discussed further.

In any case, even given all of Trump’s shortcomings from a policy standpoint, we need to be grateful that a man of his mettle stepped up and was determined to prevail.

Will discuss state and local races later.

  1. The “new media” is no longer the “alternative media”. The MSM is no longer “mainstream”. Hollywood was also defeated, that is certainly worth mentioning. This is all, a breathe of fresh air, as you alluded to. Joe Rogan pulled a lot of weight also, TC.

    1. Yes, Hollywood was defeated also, Tommy– great point. I have mixed feelings about Rogan, but you are right that he also had an effect.

It’s all glorious, but we will very quickly have to dig ourselves out of a hole. This is not over, by any means.
