The socialists have always been arrogant.
Our State Attorney General, Josh Stein, is running for governor. A judge in Wake County recently ruled that Stein had improperly used some money Smithfield Foods has been paying the state under an old legal agreement. Carolina Journal has the details.
The mere premise that money paid to the state could be expended based on the preferences of one man is far out of bounds. But Stein took that privilege unto himself. I wonder if a crime was committed.
The judge merely ruled that it needed to be spent in a different way. But Stein still faces no true accountability. It is a recurring pattern, because there is nobody to hold him accountable when the Republican-controlled General Assembly refuses to do so.
