Assume that Trump will be the GOP nominee. (This is not entirely guaranteed at this point).
Who would be the best VP pick? I would argue it needs to be someone that the socialists would never dream of elevating to the presidency. They would ordinarily be angling with the establishment Republicans to impeach and remove Trump once again. But they would not want to do this if his replacement would be just as bad, in their eyes, or worse:
Senator J.D. Vance and Governor Doug Burgum are both good choices. You pick’m. Both are impressive and have no downsides.
It will be interesting to see what he does, Fred.
Ben Carson was also discussed in the video. I tend toward preferring that he choose someone who will be able to carry the torch.
I forgot about Senator Tom Cotton. Would make an excellent VP.
Fred, I think Cotton is overall a strong conservative. However, he is a military interventionist, most recently on Ukraine:

Because of this, I am not sure that Trump would regard him as a good fit.
