On July 17, 1998 , the remains of Emperor Nicholas II, his wife Alexandria, three of their daughters, and four staff members were reburied in the crypt of St. Catherine Chapel at St. Petersburg’s Peter and Paul Cathedral The burial took place 80 years after the Romanovs were executed by the Bolsheviks. The chapel has been the resting place of Russian Emperors since Peter the Great’s time ; along with a photo I took of the crypt ( when in St. Petersburg  2004 ) in St Catherine’s Chapel in the Peter-Paul Cathedral where the Romanovs were reburied:
