Gen Z: Females 30% More Left Wing than Males

Women have tended to vote socialist more than men for a long time. That is nothing new. This is one of the reasons why women’s suffrage was ultimately a terrible mistake.

However, this linked article suggests the problem is much more accentuated in the younger generations. In fact, it states that for Gen Z (age 12-27), females are “30 points more left wing” than males. Blame is placed on the pervasive influence of the internet.

I think this is a disastrous statistic, if true. It bodes poorly for the future of our country.

But even more importantly, it is a troubling indicator for marriage and family formation. After all, men and women will tend to pair up most successfully with mates who share a common worldview. We are already seeing marked decreases in marriage and subsequent child-bearing; and this statistic will tend to exacerbate that trend.

Once again, parents need to keep their kids off social media, and supervise internet usage very closely.

  1. It’s no wonder if they sit around eating Bonbon’s and watching garbage like “The View”.

    1. There are enormous problems with the youngest generations, Fred, that previous generations did not face. There is a much higher percentage that identify as LGBTQ. And then you have large numbers of young women who are less inclined toward marriage and childbearing, and less likely to be a good partner. They have been gifted with a poisoned worldview courtesy of social media and the internet. It sets up a real demographic mess.

But it also is contrary toward God’s design. He made us so that we are more likely to be contented with an opposite sex partner; and so that we are more likely to do well in various ways having such a partner.
