JD Greear Caves on Female Pastors

Delegates voted last month at the Southern Baptist Convention to require male pastors as a condition for churches to be part of the denomination. But this was not the final word. Apparently, another vote must be taken at the annual convention next year.

It turns out that JD Greear has just caved on the issue. The reason? There are apparently thousands of black churches in the Southern Baptist Convention; and many of these have female pastors (HT: Dissenter).

Greear still has considerable influence within the denomination even though he is no longer its leader.

If the Convention does not uphold biblical teaching on this matter, other heresies will surely follow.
