It was pretty interesting that the News and Record chose to highlight the “danger” associated with an anti-Marxist group called the Southern Blackshirts. This group was protesting a socialist group meeting in Greensboro.
Two full articles were devoted to this story. The group was given the pejorative “white supremacist” label; and the corrupt Southern Poverty Law Center was consulted.
It is all so predictable and stereotypical. Interestingly, both of these articles appear to have been scrubbed from the website.
Then, the same paper runs an article recruiting attendance at upcoming socialist rallies in the region.
They don’t bother trying to mask their political bias or their socialist orientation.
