Rep. Jennifer Balkcom, a state legislator, has been anointed by the local GOP to run for Congress and replace Chuck Edwards on the ballot
Even though she is a woman, it appears she represents an improvement over Edwards– which is not saying much– but also over some of the other men who had been discussed as potential candidates. She appears to be a conservative.
She has a huge task executing a congressional campaign within a couple of months before people start voting. I hope she can win.
