He is essentially advocating that traditional public health ethics be abandoned. What is particularly outrageous is that he is a physician. I wonder if he went into politics to escape clinical practice, and thereby “cash in” by becoming Big Pharma’s attack dog:
This hearing sure did give us a lot to talk about today. In his opening statement, Senator Cassidy told a CDC nominee that anyone who questions whether vaccines cause autism is spreading misinformation. Then he spent the next two minutes unable to correctly name a disease⦠pic.twitter.com/sw0ESzYtMb

The US has 4% of the world population. It had 16%of the Covid deaths!!! That speaks volumes about the US medical-industrial complex, for whom Cassidy is a paid pimp. Thanks to the people of Louisiana for repudiating this mephitic politician.
There is no evidence that childhood vaccines are safe and effective. None have placebo-controlled trials establishing safety or effectiveness. Most do not have trials of sufficient length or numbers of participants, such is conducted for drugs where the makers can be sued for the harm they do–and thus want to know the truth.
That BigPharma can kill and maim children with vaccines with impunity is alien to very idea of America. Find me the clause in the Constitution that empowers the Federal govt to give this special privilege to anyone.
Of course, the entire HHS apparatus in unconstitutional– the whole kit and kaboodle. But the concept that the CDC would develop a childhood immunization schedule based on flimsy pretexts (and the preferences of the industry) that the states would feel compelled to adopt as a required condition of school attendance is completely contrary to public health ethics and medical ethics. It is tyrannical in some ways. And the continuing denial of issues with the Covid vaccine is almost astounding at this point.
You may be aware that Congress was hearing from a new nominee to head the CDC– a black woman who said the Covid vaccine is safe and effective during her testimony; and who helped compel Coast Guard members to take it.
“the continuing denial of issues with the Covid vaccine is almost astounding at this point.” –When you control the media and the DeepState, you seem to be able to pretend the truth is whatever you want it to be.
Your last paragraph is so discouraging, Triad. Another Trump knife in the back. He pretended during the campaign he’d do something about the Epstein class. Instead, he is one of them.
Part of the problem is the GOP Senate, J. Sobran. But obviously, even if Trump may agree with men like RFK, he has chosen not to fight this battle. And he doesn’t want to admit Operation Warp Speed was a mistake.
So troubling. I am hopeful that this nominee will be rejected . Opponents of Dr. Erica Schwartz argue that the CDC needs a director willing to explicitly push back against unproven health claims rather than offering generalized promises.
Proponents defended her record by stating that her “sacred responsibility” is to provide evidence-based guidance and that she will “never betray the science”. They further point to her extensive background, including her service as a retired rear admiral in the U.S. Public Health Service, former deputy surgeon general, and within the U.S. Coast Guard.
May the Senate make the correct decision.
What a mess, Fred.
Oh, and all her prior career is meaningless as soon as she sells her soul to United healthcare. Physicians working for insurance companies at any level, much less a senior executive, are pariahs in the medical community.
It’s pretty sad, Fred, that we have such low quality people ascending to such high positions.
