  1. The only tall ship I ever saw was the The USS Constellation (an 1854 sail-only warship) which is permanently docked in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. She is part of the Historic Ships in Baltimore fleet, alongside other vessels like the submarine USS Torsk, offering public daily tours and cannon firings.

    It was impressive. Good time was had.

    1. I caught a glimpse of a couple of the tall ships making their way into NY harbor over July 4 weekend, Fred, as I was driving on the Verrazano bridge and on the west side of lower Manhattan. There was a procession of a large number of these ships, just as had taken place during 1976 when I was a teen. It was cool to see, even if only for a brief moment.

      Glad you got to see one of these in Baltimore.
