That’s all well and good but the US relationship with Israel needs some fine tuning.
Yes, it does, Fred. How likely is that to happen? I don’t know.
Former Christian preacher Huckabee is lying for starters. Their $3.8 billion yearly entitlement to US taxpayer money is just the start. We pay similar amount not just to Egypt as a bribe to be nice to Israel but also the same to Jordan. Annually! Since the Carter Administration.
And then every time Israel starts a war, the US gives them an “emergency” supplemental. $8.7 billion in 2024. In the last 3 years, Israel has cost the US taxpayer on the order of $30 billion. Not including this war that Bibi’s bitch started a couple of months ago.
The Zionists own our corrupt oligarchy in many senses. Joe Kent understates it. The Neocon dominance of our foreign policy…2 wars with Iraq, 20 years of converting Afghanistan from Taliban to Taliban, destabilizing Libya and Syria, killing hundreds of thousands of entirely innocent women and children in the Middle East…has been a disaster for the US and for the World. And it is about to get a lot worse.
Israel is at the height of its power now. But I sense this is a Zenith from which it is all downhill. Their genocide in Gaza and Lebanon cannot be hidden. What person with any goodness in them will not despise Israel after this? If a Christian hold the Golden Rule as sacred, he should despise Israel.
It is especially disappointing for Trump to have failed in this regard, J. Sobran, because he was the one who told the Republican Jewish Coalition nearly a decade ago that he didn’t need their money. Perhaps he discovered he needed their money to elect allies in the House and Senate; and his efforts could not succeed without such allies. I don’t know.
