Jeff Bezos’ Change Of Heart

It never made sense that this guy would be aligned with the socialists because he runs Amazon like a free market entrepreneur and businessman. He has to be mindful of costs and expects his employees to be productive:

  1. Well, that was encouraging ….Jeff Bezos’ Damascus road conversion to free market capitalism and lower taxes/less spending.

My granddaughter’s boyfriend is a supervisor for Amazon and has been spared in the recent layoffs. However he is looking for an out before AI takes his job.

    1. “Damascus Road” is a good analogy, Fred. I am glad for this conversion, because we need more of these guys on our side.

One of the ways the world has become inverted is that most of the very wealthy in the United States are now leftist. Of course, there are many Jews and Indians among them.

  2. Much to agree with…Bezos, “Damascus Road” characterization, “the very wealthy in the United States are now leftist.” The very last is such a bizarre but real phenomenon that Bezos conversion is particularly encouraging.

Reading Steve Jobs’ biography, I was struck by how he seemed philosophically libertarian and understood clearly the great harms of govt bureaucracy, and yet he voted Dem.

    1. I think, J. Sobran, that part of the problem is the replacement of the old industrial economy with the tech economy. Obviously, the big tech industry leaders and some of the elite in the financial industry are the new oligarchy. The big tech businesses have so much more free cash flow than what we have seen in the past; and the wealth these leaders enjoy is a peculiarity of our time. Unfortunately, most of them are way off on the left.

The leaders of the old industrial economy did not have this far-left bias.
