57 years ago, a liberal Republican New York mayor– John Lindsay– experienced a major backlash when he muffed the response to a major snowstorm in New York City. History repeated itself over the last month with the new socialist mayor Mamdani. The snow response has caused massive disenchantment.
But there are other issues also. People were led to believe they were going to get many things for free. In all likelihood, that will not be possible for the most part. Reality is beginning to overtake the ignorant populace:
