Part of the progressive/ socialist orthodoxy is to allow homeless folks to set up encampments wherever they might choose to do so. It is considered to be a violation of the rights of the homeless to clear these encampments.
Accordingly, Zohran Mamdani instructed New York City staff to refrain from taking down homeless camps set up on city streets.
The result? Ten homeless people froze to death on the streets of New York within the last couple of weeks.
This is perhaps the first real-world example of the consequences of Mamdani’s destructive policies. And those policies are rooted in a destructive worldview.
Because he is at his core a Communist !
Yes, he is, Fred. And he will use whatever powers he has at his disposal to move the city in that direction.
