This guy– Ben Mandrell– leads Lifeway for the Southern Baptist Convention; and has been called to be the senior pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church in Tennessee. That is the church where Adrian Rogers was senior pastor for many decades. He describes an arrangement that intentionally subverts the biblical model for church leadership that requires men to set the vision for the church:
This is a great example of why the SBC can’t separate the office of pastor/elder from its function.

The head of @Lifeway, Ben Mandrell, explains how he thinks the SBC can “respect our doctrinal boundaries” about roles of men and women in the church while “getting creative.”… pic.twitter.com/mfHbrkN3kN
Is he advocating for women pastors ?
He seems to be tipping a bit over the ledge, Fred. If a wrong impression was created, he ought to correct it, pronto.
