  1. I have several news reports regarding the 2 FBI agents who were arrested for lying to congress regarding Hunter Biden’s laptop.

I still can’t get a grasp why they did what they are accused of.

  2. TC, here is a view, for what it is worth, on the firing of the two FBI agents from a DEA friend of mine. When he retired he was director of DEA operations division.

” Being in the “excepted” service has always caused the FBI to be very insular and close-mouthed, lest members be fired or let go for not towing the company line. That has caused the agency a lot of problems over the years. Career advancement is often influenced by how well the worker agent gets along with her or his supervisor, who gets to rate the employee every year and when promotion time comes along. It doesn’t take a genius in HR to see where this can lead. When I was on Webster’s “;linkup” team (I was the only DEA agent in a group of 10 FBI agents, I learned quickly that advancement in that agency depends a good deal on how well one can circumvent the rules in the name of accomplishing the mission. Anyone who steps out of line or threatens the “mission” is gone immediately. In the FBI, you’re either a yes-man or a gone-man.

If that ethos still operates in the FBI, and I’m sure it does to some extent, those two jerk agents throwing the game for Hunter could not, in a million years, have worked in isolation. Everything they did, from having their testimony cleared by the FBI’s Office of General Counsel to having their immediate supervisors completely aware of what they were expected to tell Congress, was choreographed by higher-ups.

Believe me, they are at choir practice right now learning how to sing, and it ain’t for the Hallelujah Chorus. 🙂”
