George Hartzman rightfully casts a spotlight on the effort by city of Greensboro officials to prevent Fox 8 from broadcasting an interview with a citizen activist who has been critical of the city.
Although I am not a big fan of Fox 8, they are to be commended for exposing this effort.
Of what are our city’s leaders afraid? Or is it just that they don’t want accountability to the public?
Lora Cubbage is a mean spirited bully.
I don’t doubt that, Fred. What motivated the impulse to try to squelch that TV interview? Was it a desire to cover up wrongdoing? Was it to maintain an illusion of perfection and competence? Was it to protect someone or something? I wish we could learn more. Yes, I know there was the incident when Cubbage issued a verbal threat that was caught on a recording.
